The photographer in front of the lens for once
I was born and raised in Canada where I acquired a healthy love of the outdoors. I am happiest in the mountains in winter and confess to being a telemark skiing addict
in the backcountry. After moving to these islands over 20 years ago, my fascination with the fantastically diverse and unique British countryside continues to grow.
Photography is a passion, which has crept up on me slowly and surprises even me with its intensity. My skills and knowledge have been mostly self-taught.
I have been very privileged to visit many of the wonderful estates in this country and have learned to greatly appreciate country sports, namely pheasant
and grouse shooting. About 4 years ago, I took up fly-fishing and took to the sport immediately.
Taking a variety of photos for clients on shoot days is something I love to do and enables me to offer a visual diary of their day! My aim is to be as “invisible”
as possible so as not to disturb anyone.
My photo below of gun and loader was taken in Phoines, Scotland and won the runner up category in Fieldsports magazine’s Leica Photographer of the Year 2016.
Please browse through the photos on this site. I do hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
